Fine Gray Ballast (WOOB75)

Fine Gray Ballast is a model railroad ballast designed to recreate the textured ballast bed around track ties and help keep the ties securely in place. It's equally useful for detailing gravel roads and other scenic touches in dioramas. Mix it with other colors for natural variation, and secure it with Scenic Cement to achieve a durable, realistic finish.

Sold as a gray ballast bag containing 18 cubic inches of material, this ballast is a fine grade ideal for smaller scales. A scale reference guide helps modelers select the right ballast texture for common scales, making it easy to achieve convincing track appearances across layouts when building up the ballast.
