Fine Cinders (WOOB76)

Fine Cinders ballast is a fine-grain track ballast designed to hold ties in place and create a realistic ballast bed for model railroads. This 18-cubic-inch bag provides enough material to cover a length of track and is also well suited for modeling gravel roads in dioramas, delivering an authentic, textured look.

The fine grade is compatible with a wide range of scales—from tiny Z up to G—so it can be used across layouts with different scale choices. Colors can be mixed to create natural variation, and when ready to install, Scenic Cement can be used to secure the ballast in place, helping the finished scene stay durable and neatly finished.
