Ballast (WOOB82)

This gray ballast bag contains 18 cubic inches of medium-grade ballast material for model railroad layouts, designed to recreate authentic track ballast and help secure ties in place. It’s versatile enough to use along track beds or to simulate gravel roads, and the color can be blended with other ballast tones for realism. When laying ballast, Scenic Cement helps fix it in place for a durable, natural-looking result.

Designed for scale-model layouts, the medium-grain ballast is sized to look authentic across common model scales, with a reference chart to guide size selection. The neutral gray color blends with a wide range of scenery palettes and can be mixed with other ballast colors to create convincing variation along tracks.
