4% Incline Starter (WOOST1413)

The 4% Incline Starter is a component of Woodland Scenics SubTerrain Lightweight Layout System, designed to start a model railroad track on a gentle 4 percent grade. Each piece measures 2-1/2 inches wide by 24 inches long and raises the track by about 1 inch, delivering a smooth ascent over the length of the section.

Designed for quick, beginner-friendly setup, these starters require no experience, and they avoid the need for expensive tools or dusty mess. They can be used alone or with other incline pieces to begin a track on a slope. To install, center the incline on the riser, butt the sections tightly, pin in place with foam nails, and secure with foam-compatible glue. The SubTerrain system uses high-density foam components that are lightweight and easy to work with, enabling a clean, realistic transition between levels.
