The Horizon Hot Wire Foam Cutter is a compact tool designed for precise foam shaping in modeling projects. By heating a fine nichrome wire, it cleanly slices through foam, leaving smooth edges ideal for dioramas, scenery, and scale models.

Adjustable collars help achieve straight, repeatable cuts, and the cutting throat measures 4.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches deep, giving a practical work area for small to medium foam pieces. It runs on standard 120V power and delivers heat to the wire at 9V, about 1.3 amps. For best results, use Nichrome replacement wire and, following Woodland Scenics guidance, work with SubTerrain white foam which emits no toxic fumes.
