Tree Armatures (WOOTR1121)

Deciduous Tree Armatures are bendable plastic tree cores designed to become realistic trees for model railroad layouts. The textured trunks and natural coloring resemble real trees, and a base pin helps anchor the finished tree on the scenery. Finished trees are typically in the 2–3 inch height range, making them versatile for a variety of woodland scenes.

To assemble, bend and twist the armature into a three-dimensional silhouette, apply adhesive to the branches, and allow it to dry until clear and tacky. Dip the armature into foliage to add leaves, then plant it by poking a small hole in the layout and securing with a dab of scenic glue. These armatures are sized to fit common scales—N, HO, and O—with on-layout heights roughly 27–40 feet for N, 15–22 feet for HO, and 8–12 feet for O.
